Privacy Policy

• Account info: phone number, name, optional username, optional city/state, optional profile photo.
• Status: whether you are currently "bored" and for how long.
• Contacts (optional): if you choose to find friends, we send hashed phone numbers from your address book so we can tell you which of your contacts are on the app. We store the hashes, not the raw numbers, alongside the contact's first/last name as it appears on your device.
• Social graph: who you follow, call requests you send or receive, blocks and reports you submit.
• Device tokens: push notification tokens so we can deliver alerts.
• Authentication: phone verification codes via SMS (sent through Twilio).

• Run the core feature: letting friends know you're free to talk.
• Match your contacts to existing users so you can follow them.
• Deliver push notifications you've opted in to.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Detect abuse and enforce our rules.

We don't sell your data. We share limited information with service providers that help us run the app:

• Supabase — database, auth, and storage.
• Twilio — SMS verification codes.
• Apple Push Notification service — push delivery.

Other users see your name, username, city/state, photo, status, and the last 4 digits of your phone number. Your full phone number is only revealed when both sides have authorized a call (you follow them and they accept, or vice versa).

• Notifications: toggle each push category on or off in Account settings.
• Contacts: you can skip contact sync, and you can revoke contacts permission at any time in your phone's system settings.
• Block & report: block or report any user from their profile.
• Delete your account: in the app, open your account sheet and tap "Delete account". This permanently removes your profile, follows, call requests, contact hashes, device tokens, blocks, reports, and your login.

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our production systems. Backups are rotated on a rolling basis.

Call Me I'm Bored is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
